[SI-LIST] Re: Backchannel Training in IBIS-AMI Modeling

Ravinder,

You are correct, Backchannel Training is currently not
supported by the IBIS specification, and most EDA
vendors do not support it yet. However, there is a
proposal for how the IBIS specification should be
changed to add support for this:

http://www.eda.org/pub/ibis/birds/bird147.txt

This proposal is being discussed at the IBIS meetings,
but I do not have a specific date for when it will
officially become part of the IBIS specification.

Thanks,

Arpad

Subject: [SI-LIST] Backchannel Training in IBIS-AMI Modeling

Hi Experts,
The IBIS-AMI models currently being provided by our ASIC vendor do not
have Backchannel Training function. I believe the IBIS-AMI simulators
also do not support this feature. There was some discussion about this in

DesignCon 2011. Can someone comment on when this is likely to be
implemented.

Thanks.
