Hello, Recently someone queried the accuracy of the Ansoft Q3D parameter extractor. The *best* way to calibrate both a simulation tool AND the user of the tool is to take a simple well characterized structure and run the simulation tool on that. One such structure (and there are many others) is the parallel wire structure, Dr Clayton R. Paul's book - An Introduction to Electromagnetic Compatibility has an exhaustive analysis of inductance of wires and I used one of his examples. The results are available on our website at http://www.ieee.org/rmcemc <http://www.ieee.org/rmcemc> Best Regards Charles Grasso Senior Compliance Engineer Echostar Communications Corp.
