        Oleg,

This type of question is better suited to the Allegro User's
mail list, newsgroup comp.cad.cadence, the IPC Designer's
Council mail forum, or the PC Design Magazine mail forum.

The manual or Cadence hotline are even more likely to get you
        a correct answer.

Since you asked here, the answer depends on whether you are
using positive or negative planes. If negative, the size in
question is controlled when you draw the image you want for
        your thermal flash definition.

If positive, there is an environment variable:

set av_thermal_extend=<n> - documented in openbook
Controls the thermal relief clines generated during autovoid
processing.
By default, these clines connect from a pin to a location 5 mils inside
the shape. Use this to specify how far into the shape the clines will
extend. In cases where shape area between pins is less than 5 mils,
lowering the value to 2 or 3, will create a greater number of thermal
 connections.

In addition: The value is based on the accuracy of the design. If the
database is mils with 1 level accuracy, and thermal clines should enter
the shape with an endpoint just 3 mils beyond the void edge, then set
the value to 30. An increase by a factor of 10 is required for each
 level of accuracy.

        Hope this helps,
