   I don't know whether this helps you.We have done simulation  for XAUI
Differential links for our backplane to line card.


1.First we made design link between the backplane to line card connectors.
2.Then assigned the models to connector (at backplane end only as we
treated the connector length ie link between two boards is treated as of
ZERO mil length).
3.We assigned models to I/Os on backplane and line card.
4.Then we could do the simulation.
