Hermann,

I hope you took S2P measurements (round Robin) as the missing IL data between
all ports is not captured in any S1P measurement.

There is a DesignGuide in ADS that should fit your needs. In a new Schematic
choose DesignGuide Drop down and select "Signal integrity". Open the "Mixed
Mode Simulation using Measured Data" Tree and select Four Port Simulation.
This will open a schematic and dataset where you select the S2P files to the
corresponding ports of the 4-Port device.
It tells you what to measure and how, and the results are very accurate (I
cross checked with our 4-Port VNA).

Hope this helps

BR
Gert

Betreff: [SI-LIST] Combine single S-Parameters (S1P) to 4Port model (S4P)

maybe somebody has already a tool or s script for this ...

From a Measurement I got all 16 files for a 4-port Component as seperat
(S1P) files. Now I need to combine this data to a single .s4p file.
Of course i can use my text editor (maybe excel is the better solution) and do
it manualy, but I would hope that somebody has a script or an excel macro to
simplify this process.

I don't really like to do this, as I'm not sure if the resulting S-Parameter
file will have a physial behavior as I don't know the quality of the
measurement, but I just do not have other data in the moment.

I have seen something similar as excel Macro from RF-Cafe, but not exactly what
I need.
So any hint where to get a Tool, Script or Macro to do this is very appreciated!

I guess I could also do it in ADS ... but I have to admit, that currently I
would have not the right idea how to start.

Thanks and regards

Hermann
