I'm not sure what your application is, but I've used vias as a "Tee"
point for fanning out (or ganging in) signals.=20

I always thought that a via is a two-port device, till I encountered the
term '6 port multilayer via'. Can somebody throw light on how could a
via be made to have more than 2 ports.
