heartbroken. At least there is a chance of them living relatively normal lives.

We spent 7 years fighting seizures with our Lab, Rascal. There is a great
group I found, and am still a member of, epi list

email me at my faster email: pat@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx It is a battle, but
for most dogs, controllable. Phenobarbital, is usually the first medicine
used. Then others added, if that doesn't control it sufficiently. With most
dogs, it's an ongoing work in progress. But was well worth the time, effort
and money in our case.

There is a condition in pups that is referred to as juvenile epilepsy and
the animal usually outgrows this by around 1 year old. Both phenobarb and
potassium bromide are used to stop them and then it takes about 2 months to
wean them off these meds
One of the most knowledgeable doctors which did her masters on it is Dr.
Joanne Parent. She spends part of her time at the Ontario Veterinary
College (OVC) in Canada. Unless you are in a grand mal seizuring which it
does
not sound like, your pup will probably outgrow this with proper medication
and monitoring.
