This happens all too often, it is discouraging for novices (the future of
our breed) and seasoned veterans alike. It kills entries, and many times the
dogs that are put up are not even close to the best in the class..so what is it
doing for the breed?? When you speak out, no one listens, or the respective
club officers get insulted "Who us?".
We have seen well respected judges, GOOD judges get a poor entry, because
some faction of a club didn't agree with the choice, and people stayed away
from
their own club's show to "support" the offended parties and f to protest.
Protest what , good judges that have no agenda, and are not from the area????
What is that going to accomplish? It only hurts the club, and diminishes
entries, and $$$ for the club.
People beg for judges to just judge dogs....then when they get some that
will, they won't support it. It's maddening, and an insult to all the judges
trying to do the right thing.
I don't get it, but what I do get is our specialty entries by and large are
in trouble. When are people going to GET this?
