Dexter is mine, Pablo's, Tuti's, Alex's (actually, Dexter think Alex belongs to
him), and he is definitely Iza's dog. He can spot her a mile away and loves her
as he did when he was a puppy.
I had the same experience with Tess and Carolyn. I love the intelligence on
these guys, they remember those they love for a long time. If Dexter hears
Olivia at a show, the game is on until he finds her...LOL
I like to think that when people "own" your dog, they love him/her and will go
the extra mile. I think of it as a compliment.
Anyone can "own" my dogs. At the end of the day, they are home, sleeping with
me. <G>
