[ SHOWGSD-L ] white shepherds

when i was a little girl age eleven way back in the 1940s we discovered a
litter of six pure white puppies in the woods behind our house. naturally
grandma took them in and cared for them. they were all deaf. i never forgot it.
in those days dogs ran loose and it was not unusual to find dogs and cats
everywhere. once a cat had a litter of kittens in our basement. i was nine at
the time and of course wanted to keep them all. dad used both incidents as a
learning experience. i never forgot it
