No, more than likely she won't, you'll wake up one morning in bed with her
and her babies. You may see her poking into every dark corner she can find to
pick the best spot (in her opinion) and it's rarely the spot that YOU chose for
her.
Most cats have a much easier time "whelping" than dogs do, and they choose
where THEY want to have them. I'm sure that if you're brave enough and if the
cat would tolerate it, taking the temp would be a good indicator, but again,
not the same as it is with a dog, in this case, more difficult.
One thing you could possibly do is confine her to a large crate with a cat
box, etc., and keep a portion of it covered, but she probably won't be too
thrilled with that either. At least that way, you'll know where she is and
won't
end up sleeping in a bed with a bunch of wet kittens.
