Lea and Molly,
Thanks for the clarification about the Welcome Waggin at Beaumont. I was there
all week and didn't see it. Just me, I guess. I did not mean to slight anyone
and am very grateful to the volunteers who helped to set it up and man it. I
think the big gold letters on the drapes helped identify it last year in
Colorado. Maybe we could do something like that again.

hi,
the welcome waggin was manned most of the time and by beaumont club members.
a few others stepped in to be there when no one from the beaumont club
could. to say it wasn't active is a cut to those who were there and spent much
of
their time working and to sheryl brockett who spent time setting it up and
making it look nice. and by the way, sheryl is the person who set up the
booth
in colorado as well and made it look so beautiful last year. hopefully cyndy
davis, the person responsible for the welcome waggin, will be at the
national next year to oversee the running of the booth and filling in the gaps
when
no one else is there.

The Welcome Waggin was set up and present, but with the many jobs the local
club members had it was difficult to keep it manned. There were very few
other volunteers. We ensured there was local info laid out every morning
and
someone around to answer questions as much as possible, but a small handful
of
people can only do so much. Hopefully more of the fancy will get involved
next year.
