Yes, Kathy you are right. We are DELIGHTED to get back to rotating and to have
a national on the West Coast again. We also have numerous sites in Northern
California that might work along with a nice herding facility in Vacaville.

First of all I would like to THANK the Board for starting the rotations again
as
the membership (most) was hoping would happen. It is fair and equitable to
do so for the whole membership.
I have seen and heard already concerns? I have an idea. Before people
start naysaying sites, etc, why don't you
(collectively) allow the club to look into sites, offer intelligent ideas,
pros and
cons BEFORE complaints start. The Western US (not just the coast)
should be thrilled that this is in the offing.
Del Mar is not ideal. Not because of the fog, because that is minutia.
But more because it is hard to get in there, and the overall prices for
dining and
  lodging are very high.
SO, how about everyone take a deep breath, celebrate the fact that we ARE
going to rotate again , and let folks in the Western US, offer ideas and
suggestions
  prior to worrying?
There are MANY places that are possible sites. I am sure that
concerns big and little will be taken into consideration.
Fog is not on the top list of concerns,.
  However :
Can we fly 500 crates into said sites? Or within reasonable distance?
Can the membership be provided with hotels/lodging at reasonable cost?
Can the area, or nearby support tracking/ herding etc?
This is something we will be calling upon the tracking and herding experts
to help us decide. We have one of the best in the business right in Orange
County as
well as Perris CA , Mr. Jerry Stewart.
Personally we are thrilled and SO APPRECIATIVE to each person that voted
in favor of starting rotations again. YAYYYYYYYYYY for everyone!

In the meantime we look forward to hearing great ideas, and for the Western US
folks to make 2017 a super event!
Let us all look forward to this , work together, share ideas.
For those that don't want the rotation or want to start immediately with
negative comments (not directed at anyone one in particular mind you)
I would ask on behalf of a very happy and excited Western US. and
probably most of the membership that has wanted rotation all along...
