I totally agree here. We loss money on our show last month. I cannot
think of any other reason than we were in futurity season. I guess exhibitors
rather get a nice match ribbon rather than a possible major on their dog.
Specialty clubs are folding at a rapid pace. Hope that most don't mind
finishing their dogs at AB shows because that is where this is heading.

Its already being discussed. The consinsus is that they [the multi group
judges] will just pass the cost along to the clubs - ANOTHER AKC fee. The
problem is many judges with one or two breeds [SPECAILTY JUDGES] will just
turn in their license. Multi all breed judges will become fewer and fewer
[already dying off like flies] and we will be stuck with just a few judges
controlling whats winning in AKC and WILL eventually influence what the
breeds look like - all generic show dogs instead of individual
breeds............. JMO We [collective 'we'] don't want breed wardens but
when there are
only a few judges thats EXACTLY what we'll have....... they won't tell you
who to breed to - just influence what progeny win.........

How did they manage to get that passed? Bad enough for those of us
licensed for one breed to have to pay $55 next year and $60 thereafter -
can you
imagine the $50 + $5 and then $10 times ALL the breeds for the BIS
judges?
They are supposed to pay over $1500 to maintain their licenses?
