They are pricing themselves right out of quality judging. It
may be that they are purposely attempting to be rid of the judges
who do not judge multiple groups as that is who will be
affected. Many clubs now base their judge selection upon who can
judge multiple groups and who can share a motel room. I do not
jest. One of our local clubs proudly attested to that premise;
however, they are now struggling to survive and will not have a
show this year. Exhibitors are disenchanted with entering and
enduring expenses at shows whose results are often pre-determined.
If these judges' fees do go into effect, you may rest assured that
this sport will revert to the the old elite, moneyed monopoly
enjoyed in the late 1800s and
AKC will go down the Drain.

Well, all I can say it maybe they need to learn how to hire judges or maybe
they are getting an entry of 4000 or 5000 at their show. I doubt anyone is
getting that kind of an entry in these times.

a check to a judge for 2000.00 for 2 days of judging. She must be living in

cover the cost of judging at that show. And, oh yes, if you judge Junior
Showmanship, that

various...and some clubs
don't charge for Juniors so you don't get paid for judging them...
NOPE...sorry to burst your balloon. There are only a few judges that can
demand Top dollar and
get it. The rest of us do it because we love the dogs and the
Sport.....trust me, I belong to three
judges groups and assignments and fees get discussed all the time.
