No, they don't need to be pointed. They need to be old enough to see what
they'll look like and prelim. As far as someone finishing a dog they've put a
few points on...depends. If they drug the dog around all season and it has
a few points, they'll probably give it away...but that's not one you want to
feed for the next ten years is it?
