Pam THANK YOU!!! I am one of those owners working with my 2 x Can/Am Sel.
Ex.
to get a performance title on her....Yes Gary and I could have sent her away
to a handler BUT we trained, conditioned her and we drove her to EVERY
confirmation show she was in. And YES we could of sent her away to a
trainer for a
CD or a HT title, but shes ours and any performance title will be done by
us.
I take offense to others on the list putting down new performance venues.
Your right the Rally is what is needed to get people back into
obedience...If AKC
thinks Rally is good enough to be a AKC titled award thats good enough for
me.

WELL SAID LADIES!

I've put advanced performance titles on dogs, but I still remember getting
my one and only CGC and being a complete and total MESS and I can recall my
knees shaking the first time I walked into a Novice A ring! I was never so
nervous in my life!!! It's that first step that's the hardest!!! That Novice
A
title was harder than a UD!

Here we are on one hand, wondering where the entries are, why more folks
aren't involved and yet some would belittle certain titles. It doesn't
diminish
your advanced title for goodness sakes to see someone else enjoy their first
attempts with their dog! It gets easier and now I can look back and grin at
my (wrong) notion that all of the eyes of the world were upon me, but lets
not knock whatever ways people choose to title their dogs. Let's instead be
lavish w/ praise and welcoming!
