This summer I've had a new challenge with one dog's new 'favorite spot'. I noticed it was gradually getting more difficult to open his gate to bring him in and out. When I investigated closer I found he's been marking the lower hinge and it was gunking up. Even with repeatedly hosing it off and dumping cleansers on it, it reached the point I could barely force the gate open. Last weekend I used half a can of WD-40 on it along with a high spray and finally the gate's back to normal. I'm not sure what I'll do if this happens during the winter! Cody has a wisteria bush he "waters", and with the lack of rain, I had noticed an odor. I don't really want to put bleach on the bush:( I used KOE (Kennel Odor Eliminator), which I like, but not sure how friendly that is to the poor bush either. It's in "their" area, so it's not a huge deal....you know this is the healthiest looking thing around with one exception...it's never bloomed.
