[ SHOWGSD-L ] voting, committees et al

as far as the ballots go, I have voted so happily delete any further
discussion.
as far as committees go, I started the 13 club for the purpose of
collecting information on long lived dogs. I made quarterly reports to board
and a
year end summary to the club. I did this for nine years after 4 years in
the making and approval. It was a labor of love for me. I resigned after
nine years as it was time to let it stand or fall due to interest/ I have no
clue to what has happened to it in subsequent years as it has gone through
three more chairs and I have yet to see a report other than names and ofa
numbers. There was a wealth of information and for me, it made me much
wiser in selecting my breedings.
I hope they kept and continue to keep all the information available in that
committee in hopes it leads to better knowledge to the fancy. Would be a
shame if all that was lost. It was not just one more title, it was
information to be passed on.
The club committees in general are only as good as the dedication of their
chairs and interest of the members.
