You NEVER breed a carrier of this type of haemophilia. And the dobie
people prove this point. YOU CANNOT FIND A DOBIE that is not overt or a
strong carrier in the USA. THey ahve had to import dogs from France to tr=
y
to get rid of the problem.

A BORDERLINE carrier/OVERT can bleed to death during a breeding or heat.

And I can tell you, if you own the stud and the bitches starts to bleed ou=
t on
your during a breeding, it is the most horrible experience you can through=
.

A big problem I see is crossing American/German lines. One has
haemophilia A and one has haemophila B. We will be seeing a lot more
bleeders with these crosses - and it will show up three, four generation=
s
down the road.

The AKITA and SHEBA people screen. I have had all my dogs screened at
their clinics. They do not breed a carrier. Only way to get rid of this d=
isease
is not breed a carrier.
