It will probably never go back to the west coast. I do believe that Utah was
the last west coast national. I have wanted to start a west coast challange to
give the west coasters something to compete for. It would include all
preformance and conformation. It would have to be held at a time of year not to
interfere with the national. Ruth worked up the banners for me but as low as
entries are now at the dog shows I didn't think it was worth all the work
putting it together. If things continue on the way that they are going now in 5
years there won't be anyone in the west showing GSD's. There seems to be more
entries in the other breeds. You would think that the second most registered
dog with the AKC could draw entries at a dog show. Guess not.
