That is a good question and one I asked a Rep a couple years ago. I was at a
Pet Expo were they had a Hunte semi-truck on display. Not being the subtle
type, I asked the Rep this exact question. His response "This rarely happens
as demand is higher than supply. Any animals not sold are returned to us and
used in breeding programs." Now, I did not believe him and asked who cared for
these animals til they were old enough to breed. He said that if their
facilities don't keep them, they have breeders they work with that will house
the
dogs and breed for them.
I don't remember who originally wrote that is was "cold" mass producing
business, or something like that. But, that is exactly what they are doing.
I don't personally know Mr. Hunte and won't even quess at his motives. What
bothers me is that someone with a well-known dog in our Breed would knowingly
breed their dog to one of his bitches. If this is a different Andrew Hunte,
then my apologies to all.
