The accepted serological RNATT result for Rabies must be must be at least
0.5 IU/ml (FAVIN-OIE Rabies Titer )
Most dog of that age test about 1.99 IU/ml
The matter of convincing Counties and Gov Officials is difficult; dogs DO
NOT need yearly Rabies or even 3 yr The laws need to be changed.

A friend has a 12 year old shepherd and doesn't want to have him get his
rabies shot as there are so many possible side effects and he is getting
weak with age. She had the vet draw blood for a titer on rabies and it has
come back but the vet doesn't know what it needs to be so the test is
useless for her.
Does anyone know titer numbers that prove rabies vaccine is still strong
enough to be ?adequate for a dog. I would appreciate the help so that I
could tell her.
