I have my grounds treated for 3 seasons by my pest control company, then
ONLY WHEN I SEE TICKS dogs who aren't being shown wear preventic collars and
those being shown (bathed more frequently AND off the premises going to
untreated parks etc.) have frontline applied.
Nothing at all on pregnant or soon-to-be-bred bitches or puppies under 4
months old BTW.
The stuff used by the pest control people is made of chrysanthemums, all
natural, and after 7 years, has done one heck of a job. I probably only use
the collars on the stay-at-home dogs 2-3 month out of the year and my house
is in the WOODS!
