Sorry -- Lots and lots of breeds have stand-alone specialties. Collies,
Shelties, Goldens, Labradors, Springers, Poodles, Corgis, and more...plus there
are group shows..........and while we may (not sure) have more than a lot of
breeds, we have completely lost some clubs because of lack of support...whether
that is lack of members or what, I don't know and wouldn't say...but we've lost
them, nevertheless...and I don't care what the other breeds do, anyway...I want
to know why the allbreeds get strong majors and our specialties have such a
hard time doing the same thing ...

Two suggestions.....Specialty shows need to be held throughout the year...not
just in March, April, May, and June.....I can attend at least two Specialies on
almost any given weekend during these months....
Or barring that, it's time to face reality. We need to partner up with All
Breed shows so we can have a bigger influence on the judges and keep our costs
down. Lets face it, we are one of the very few breeds that have standalone
specialites as the norm. Most Specialty clubs have their shows onsite at all
breed shows. I know we are "special", but it might be time to face reality.
