1.for those of you who have never stayed around for the group, spent time with
other breed people, akc reps, show superintendents you have no idea how much
fun you have been missing.
2. The more you know the more you can enjoy what you watch and how carefully
planned everything really is.
3. Lots of shepherd people in California have won or placed in a group at an
all breed show. Many all breed judges know a great deal about dogs. After a
while you will learn who they are. With Breed entries dropping and if you are
really competitive its fun to add to your total of defeated dogs many champions
of other breeds. If you think thats easy try it and see.
4. true there are many all breed judges who do not know much about our breed
but there are just as many ignoramuses judging at our specialties. the
difference is that the all breed judge admits it is not his area of
specialization while the specialty judge usually thinks he knows everything.
