[ SHOWGSD-L ] temperment

I have a five year old female whose has always been way too friendly with
everyone. She loved everybody. She passed her TC three years ago when she was
in standing heat. I used to joke about it and tell people she was my Golden
Retriever in a German Shepherd body. She wouldn't even bark at strangers. She
just waits for them to get in the house because she is sure that they came
just to see her. Last night we had our dog club meeting in the park. Almost
everyone was gone. She and I were walking to the van when a man came out of
the
woods towards us. She hit the end of that lead like a Schutzend dog. I have
no doubts that if she would have gotten away from me, that man would have
been on his way to the hospital real quick. Your German Shepherd dog WILL
protect you if he or she feels the need to
