[ SHOWGSD-L ] temperament test

It was my understanding from Dick Whalen that there is not really a good
or bad score on the temperament test. Years ago, I took my 10 year old
foundation bitch Ch Windy Acres' Brianna OFA H&E through the test with
Dick as the evaluator. She scored a big fat zero on everything -
meaning she was un-phased by it all. We passed - with Dick's comment
being "she's seen it all". She behind every single one of my Windy
Acres dogs who, for the most part, have wonderful temperament - even if
I do say so myself.
Shame on a evaluator who thinks he can determine whether a teenage
bitch belongs in a breeding program based upon 5 minutes of observation.
And bless Dick Whalen - all evaluators should conduct themselves as he
did.
