Speaking of temperament tests, all other breeds have temperaments described in their standard and do not have to undergo any type of temperament test other than the exam at all breed shows. I'm sure at any given show, there are dogs that win breed and group placements that would not pass their breed's temperament test. Some of them are probably in the herding group beating our shepherds for group placements. It doesn't seem right to single out one breed at an all breed show. I can see it's usefulness at specialty shows to improve the temperaments and where all competitors have to undergo the same test.
