Speaking of temperament tests, all other breeds have temperaments described in
their standard and do not have to undergo any type of temperament test other
than the exam at all breed shows. I'm sure at any given show, there are dogs
that win breed and group placements that would not pass their breed's
temperament test. Some of them are probably in the herding group beating our
shepherds for group placements. It doesn't seem right to single out one breed
at an all breed show. I can see it's usefulness at specialty shows to improve
the temperaments and where all competitors have to undergo the same test.
However, at all-breed shows shouldn't it be required of all breeds or no breeds
at all?
