Sally,
The price of wholesale meat has gone up over 40% just since January.? I feed
Eagle Pack Holistic Duck to 2 dogs that cannot tolerate raw.? My price for a
33lb bag went from $39.95 to $47.95 just last week.?Yikes!!!??I can't feed the
cheaper brands due to the grains.? But, I will be looking for other options.? I
am working with 2 dog food companies right now.? One has a cooked, refrigerated
food that these 2 seem to tolerate.? I sure hope I can make that work as I get
free food from them as a distributor.? I guess in this current economy, we need
to get creative.??

With only 2 wks worth of proplan left I decided to go shopping today to find
another food. We are rather limited in this town for places to buy- Went to
Tractor supply first and after flipping half the bags there to see the
ingredients I ended up buying a bag of Diamond Chicken and Rice 35lbs for
$25.00 - I will be feeding the younger runners Exceed but don't want to feed
my seniors that high of fat and protein- and my crew insists on a chicken
base dog good
Since my dogs have become cuz ball fanatics I stopped at Pet Co on the way
home to get a couple. I have not been in Petco since May. I thought I
would have a heart attack at the prices on the dog food in there. Two come
to mind
Royal Canin 35 lb $55.99 and now the Dog whisper has his own food out- don't
quite remember the price on the tag I thought would be for the larger bag
was for the smaller bag. and a large bag would feed my husband and I for
almost a week
No wonder people in my area are not buying big dogs(or any dogs) The list
of puppies in the paper is two columns long and with area codes from north
and south of here. It is so bad that there are even Standard Poodles for
$500 champion sired
