People do breed specifically for it. I have turned breedings down because
that's what people were interested in. Never mind breeding for a
fault....sigh.
And they have a point...I had one out of nine in my last litter a coat and
she was the FIRST chosen by a family who had reserved a puppy. Pet people
love them and as much as I LOVE and APPRECIATE my companion puppy homes
because they give me the flexibility to breed a litter, knowing I have super
homes lined up... I on the other hand won't keep a coat. When I do a
breeding I hope to hold back a puppy, say a bitch, and if two out of four are
coats...well I'm not happy.
I have started DNAing the potential keepers....
