OH, there are stories!
My Favorite is one of my pups and this was the 3rd one I sold the guy. 3
month after they took her, she got diarrhea which from the sounds of it the
owner did not realize and then started was vomiting as well, he had 5 acres so
God only knows what she go into
She just got really skinny and moopy. The vet took her into the hospital
insisting it was parvo put her on IV's and when the test came back negative
kept the pup and treated her for diarrhea and vomiting, no Flagyl or metro so
what I don't know he would not tell me, for 5 days when nothing helped he
told
the owner that she had some kind of genetic defect and he should come in and
sign a euthanasia. He told the owner he would sign an affidavit to the
effect this pup had a genetic defect, I guess so he could get a replacement or
refund... I told the guy I wanted her back and I would determine if in fact if
was genetic or something that could be fixed. However if he put her down I
would give him nothing...
For what ever reason he would not bring her back to me but he did take her
to an emergency where there were specialist (he did not call me until Saturday
afternoon) They thought she might have a blockage and did Surgery.....(:
Turns out all she had was Giardia and had they simply treater her with
Flagyl she would have been fine, it cost this guy 4,000 and put that poor pup
through hell......
Breaks your heart when these poor guys get put through this kind of thing...
