This is so true. I know here in Arizona one has to be extremely careful with
their males due to the excessive heat. I know of several people this has
happened to and their sperm count did come back.Â

I had this happen to Ducati. What we finally determined is that it was heat.
e had a terribly hot summer and at one point or another he got hot! (Please no
-mails about why did he get too hot, why wasn't he in air conditioning, etc.
his dog was very well taken care of, had a good kennel with a roof, misters,
tc. and I loved him dearly.) Anyway we didn't know for sure why he didn't have
perm but thought the heat could be a possibility and waited for 90 days. It
akes about 90 days for new sperm to appear and they did. He sired litters
fter that and had a good sperm count. During that time I was devastated and it
as very hard to wait, all the while checking. I was elated when I finally saw
ven a few new sperm, they're so cute!
Of course this is just one possible reason and there are others but this is my
xperience.

This is an Aussie question that I hope to help someone with. A friend has
a 3 year old male that had a sperm count check at one year old and was
fine. This dog is now 3 and there is no sperm in the semen even though there
is plenty of semen.
Does anyone know what could cause this or if there is any chance of
reversal?
