Not so in California......unless it's a good "cluster" of All Breeds with good
Judges
somewhat in the middle of the State to draw from all directions.
Going to be the same with Specialties soon. If the Specialty clubs learn to
cluster
their shows together so we can get more bang for our buck.....or at $4.00 a
gal. for
for our buck for gas.......common sense would tell you none of us can travel as
far for
one show......or even two shows where one Judge is the only good choice for our
dog!
It's just easier to wait for a better weekend of shows where the 'odds' are
better.
Once a Specialty gets a reputation for no longer being majors, or dropping to
not hold
majors........you begin to REALLY lose the entries........

Majors are mostly in the AB ring these days. Of course with the counts so
far down now a specialty with total entry of 25 dogs can have a major. Will
that pay the bills and keep the club alive. Probably not.
