The trick would be to get them to set up when they stop. It would be easy to make the sit, but for conformation, that would not be the thing to do, they would have to set up. As for AKC rules, if we started this at matches and futurities, and our National, I bet it would become common practice at specialties in no time. Huh? You're forgetting, in performance events, bitches in season aren't allowed. AND STILL there are plenty of "incidents" on the OB long sit and down WHEN ANIMALS (with a whole lot more training that the average specialty dog) ARE STARTING IN A STAIONARY POSITION that just "happen". I FOR SURE am not playing with my dogs in any event that has a whole bunch of intact (proven!) males and in-season bitches gaiting around loose. OK Sheila, 'fess up, what are you spiking the kool-aide with this hot FL afternoon? <G> Kathy three generations of Dual Titled Champions live here! visit _Pine Hill German Shepherd Dogs_ (http://www.geocities.com/pinehillgsds/) ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2006.
