My boy was NEVER vaccinated because of the compromised immune system. Never
overtreated for fleas and ticks either. He was an intact male still at age nine
and always ate high quality dog food. The vet had told me years ago that my boy
would not live a long life because of the Demodex. He told me that I had done
everything that one could have done for him. I truly have no guilt feelings
other than losing him to such a rotten disease. The Demodex showed up as a
young pup and the reoccurances became more and more frequent the older he got
until it could no longer be controlled. BTW, my daughter's boy, Kota, most
likely died of toxic gut. Same symptoms as Steve's GSD. It was just such a
shock to find this boy dead after him being fine and eating in the morning. My
daughter was with him at 1:30 PM when she went to feed him at 4:45 he was gone.

Over vaccination can compromise a dog's immune system. Over treating for fleas
and ticks are
another problem and other environmental factors
Also, they are finding that spay and neuter are causing a miriad of problems
It is suggested that instead of castrating a male, you do what we do in humans,
cut the vas
deferens and just llow the dog to have normal hormones
And then some of the food we feed is pretty horrible!
