Maybe. You have an awful lot more faith in our court system then I do.
I've seen some pretty stupid decisions lately:(
As far as no grounds/damages...I keep reading that people think the
credibility gained by being a member of a large national breed club will be a
bonanza
for Hunte's business. (I'm not sure I agree, but lets for a minute assume
they are correct.) If they want to make the argument that membership EQUALS
bonanza, then how can the very same people make the argument that denying
membership doesn't EQUAL damages? I'm on my second cup of coffee and I can't
make that work. IF membership is GOOD for business, then being denied
membership MUST BE bad for business. And therefore the organization that
denied
membership, hurt the business. How to prove it? Oh, I don't know, go out and
get
a few contacts for show puppies bred by GSDCA members, Futurity nominated in
the range of $3,500-$5,000 and contrast that with what a Hunte puppy sells
for without the same bona fides...multiply that by the number of puppies

sells, damn, that's a lot of damages! Same quality? Hardly. I can hear it
now, "but your Honor, look...no front, no rear, it doesn't even come close to
the standard..." Yeah, right.
Would it work? Who knows? Silly? Absolutely, yes, but I've seen worse fly.
Besides, you're forgetting that we'd still have to defend, and even if we
prevail, it's still a suit on our record. Did you miss the part that we tried
to increase our insurance last year and were denied? Do you understand these
types of policies aren't guaranteed renewable? Do you understand the
consequences if the policy we have now isn't renewed?
I want him out. I want him out without putting the club or the BOD in what
potentially could be a very bad spot.

THAT WOULD PROTECT US FROM SUCH LAWSUITS.. SOME CLEVER LAWYER CAN ALWAYS
FIND A LOOPHOLE.. WE ALL KNOW THAT AND WE ALL KNOW MANY JUDGES BELONG IN THE
FUNNY FARM....BASED ON SOME OF THEIR 'FAR-OUT' DECISIONS...
SO WHERE, EXACTLY DOES THAT LEAVE US???
UNABLE TO FUNCTION??
