Thank you for posting this! Amen, sister! GSDCA is for EVERYONE who loves
German Shepherds, not just the few with Selects. It would be a good thing if
we
would ALL keep this in mind! If people like you made up the bulk of our
membership, we wouldn't be having a membership problem! Thank you so much for
your continued support of GSDCA, even in these tough times we all face.

This has been an interesting discussion, the last 2 yrs have been 2 of the
hardest in my life and yet I know it is nothing compared to others. I don't
know
how I will afford renewing my membership but I will because I love this breed,
I
have been a member since 1998 but have never seen my name in any recognition
list, who cares, I have beautiful dogs that have not got their AKC
championships, who cares, they are loyal, healthy, smart and did I say
beautiful? I love going to shows, for a while I too got all caught up in the
must win thinking. I don't have to win. I have bred 5 litters in 13 yrs, not a
big breeder but I am proud of the pups I have bred, the families who own them
just love them, I don't care if they are shown or not but several are in
SAR,herding and one is a certified companion dog for an 11 yr old boy with
leukemia, only that I have bred a healthy,happy smart beautiful puppy. And I
believe I am involved in a club who is here for the sole reason of the betterm
ent of our breed. When I read all the knowledge of those who have been in the
breed a long time, I am awed. When Bob Brady goes up to a dear friend of mine
who owns one of my pups and tells her what a nice dog he is, I am proud. So I
will find the money and I will renew and I will continue to strive for breeding
to the complete standard for the betterment of this breed I love. The great
people I have met,well that is just gravy! I do not think the politics will
change if I do or don't renew, but I am proud to be a member. I am hooked for
life!
Oh and if you guys do decide to write that book, well put me on the list to get
one!! Dave's book is on my Christmas list!
