That is a great story and it reminded me about my son.
?When I first started showing GSDs we had a male that would go and lay on my
side of the bed everytime my wife went to bed.? When I would go to bed I'd tell
him to move because the "BIG DOG" was coming to bed.
?? My son was about 10 and loved to go to Dog shows because he could say
"Bitch" without getting in trouble.
? One day on the way home he was real quiet so I asked him what was wrong.? He
had a puzzeled look on his face and ask, "If your the big DOG what does that
make mom"
?? I told him he better keep that to himself.? I then went home and told her
what he had said.

LOL Ed and Kathy, Oh yeah, I can relate to that as well!!! My granddaughter
spends the summer with me and we do dog classes and dog shows. When she was
younger she would go back to school and they would ask her about her summer.
Well she promptly told her class that she was with her grandma and pappa and
her
grandma has 2 adult bitches and one baby bitch that was hers. And to make it
even better, she told them that one of my bitches was a Bi-Black bitch and the
other was a blk and tan bitch. My daughter was on the phone telling me ( after
I
quit laughing!) that I needed to explain to Devan that we only talk like that
around other dog people!? It was too funny.

LOLOL Ed, I can relate.
Hunter goes to a Lutheran elementary school. He is used to hearing us talk
about "bitches" etc in the dog vernacular. He didn't at first
understand
that other non dog people might not appreciate the verbiage. Last year, he
said something about
one of our "bitches" , and I had to explain to the shocked and
puzzled
kindergarten teacher, why he would so cavalierly out with that term.
I have since gotten him to understand that dog people and "other "
people do
not speak the same language necessarily. He now only uses the "b
word" in
the context of a conversation with dog folks.....
Now how to answer his question at a recent trip to the Cryobank..."Mom,
how
does the vet get the sperm from Joe into the tube so she can freeze it?"
(I looked busy really fast, lol) He does think my black tee shirt with the
BRIGHT PINK "Caninecryobank.com"
in the shape of a sperm is pretty funny. I do get some odd looks from
non-dog people. lol
The things people have to explain when they have animals, lol.
