Yes Ed, I agree with you completely. There should always be a WRITTEN contact, no matter who you are dealing with. Most of us will require a written contract with strangers, but even in dealings with long-time and beloved friends, a contract is and should be necessary to avoid any discrepancies that may come up if one of the parties chooses not to honor the verbal contract. Therefore a WRITTEN contract should always be required and necessary ,no matter how much you trust the person you are dealing with. A verbal contract is only as good, as the person with whom you are dealing, and you cannot trust everyone TO HONOR THEIR WORD. I have learned a costly lesson because I did not have a WRITTEN contract.
