You need to go back on history a little to understand why there are "two lines". During Richtmeister von Stephanitz' time Germany was not divided and there was just one line. Then, after the war Germany was divided into East Germany and West Germany, just like they were two different countries, west governed by US and Britain, east governed by Soviets. Thus whatever was in the west stayed in the west and vice versa. Yes, they differ a great deal in looks, but aside from having working lines the East German also had show lines. I don't understand the words "West German High Lines". Never heard of it. What do you mean by that? Lee LEE : Look, we both know this is a list that is for American Bred Show/conformation, etc., not for discussing German Import lines..... so I will be answering you, privately, and if you wish to reply, you can contact me privately...Thank You, Barb Williams ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2006.
