After a 2 1/2 year dry spell for pups, on Fathers Day we celebrated the
birth of 3 babies. 1 dark b/t, 2 bicolor.

There was a fourth baby who did not progress down the birth canal. An
ultra sound gave the emotional result there was no heartbeat. A large
dose of
calcium brought the little one on, and she was full term but appears to
have strangled on the umbilical cord. She was a breach birth. So sad
when
the bitch carries and the pup makes it full term and you lose them, but
then so many of us have been there.
On the happy note, it is sooooo good to smell baby breath!
