But they don't do that. They call one another and set up a major
somewhere...and are happy for whoever wins it. There was a time when dogs
from rare breeds got their majors by winning the group............. wanna try
that?

I've been thinking about this... What about breeds that only HAVE 100 or so
even registered? And can make a major with 4 or 5 dogs?. Bring in a few from
their kennel and there you go. I am thinking of Harriers, American Foxhounds,
even Beaucerons. Are the Champions less of a Champion? And it isn't like the
GSDs where there was once 100 per class. These breeds never did have more than
a few showing.

sorry, but true! we do talk about shepherds, but subjects like "cheap
champions" make us think of other breeds, too. Same with
building majors, or any other thing that is NOT exclusive to GSDs.
