Well how about this..... a little common courtesy? for a hard job where the 
majority of people who are going to be happy with you or your judging are the 
ones who win? When are you judging the national? I don't hear the judge 
complaining about anything or asking for thanks, just someone who wasn't 
there.? I am LMAO at you. I have not heard the judge asking for sympathy, pity 
or grattitude. Get over it. I am sure the judge won't mind if you don't feel 
the need to thank her since you weren't there and will appreciate those who do. 
We picked the judge so if it wasn't to your liking then work on the selection 
process. Again it was a great experience and I look forward to next year!

I keep reading all these posts of people thanking the judge for being "willing" 
to stand in the middle of the ring for 8 hours, judging all these dogs, etc...
 
Last time I checked, the judges could say "no" when they are asked if they want 
to judge - this is not a volunteer position for the "good of the breed" - most 
people would agree it is an HONOR to be asked to judge the breed and most 
judges 
KNOW that they will be scrutanized by the people on the outside of the ring...
 
I feel almost no pity for judges who have judged a National before - they know 
exactly what is going on and accept the honor and sometimes the abuse....
