Why not use a name taken from his registered name and leave it at that?
Black Shepherds no different than others except for color. Not necessary to
give
them a name that indicates they're black, IMO. Does everyone name sable
colored Shepherds which indicate they're sable? I don't think so.

All of mine have lived to 13 to 14 and 1/2 except those few taken by
accident or in two cases tumors (inoperable). Most enjoyed good lives until
old age finally caught up to them.
