We all go thinking we have a chance of winning. Are you saying the judges only judge the dogs and they never consider who is at the other end of the leash? If so why do we need this class at all? I "bother" to show because I believe I am having my breeding stock evaluated. I believe entries are down because?to many?judges put up the other end of the leash. It gets discouraging. No one wants to spend all the money it cost to enter, pay for hotels, gas, food and time just to? have a judge not even look at your dog. I don't want any more or any less consideration for my dog than the next?dog, but I do want the same consideration.? And I do mean my dog. Pam I was just wondered Because so many people seem concerned if the judge will look at them or not(sarcasm) What I don't understand is if so many people wonder if the judges will consider them(never say their dog) why they even bother to show Sally -----Original Message----- From: Showgsd-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To: showgsd-l digest users <Showgsd-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tue, 11 Dec 2007 1:34 pm Subject: showgsd-l Digest V1 #140 showgsd-l Digest Tue, 11 Dec 2007 Volume: 01 Issue: 140 In This Issue: #1: From: "Sally" <sally@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Amateur Owner class #2: From: "Mike & Kathy Gray" <mlgray@xxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Just for fun...If not GSDs...what would you have? #3: From: <almanya@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Treasure Coast GSDC January info #4: From: grnram415@xxxxxxx Subject: Re: Just for fun...If not GSDs...what would you have? #5: From: "terraf" <Terraf@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Just for fun...If not GSDs...what would you have? #6: From: "Jeanne M" <gsdjm@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: after GSD #7: From: Elaine Ebestep <tykegsd@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Strollers #8: From: "Bonnie Money" <bonnie@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Just for fun...If not GSDs...what would you have? #9: From: "Peggy" <pmick12@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Just for fun...If not GSDs...what would you have? #10: From: Gsdjudge@xxxxxxx Subject: Re: Just for fun...If not GSDs...what would you have? #11: From: "Barbara or DTA Amidon" <amidon@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Brags #12: From: Stormy435@xxxxxxx Subject: Re: Just for fun...If not GSDs...what would you have? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Msg: #1 in digest From: "Sally" <sally@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Amateur Owner class Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2007 12:52:40 -0600 The dog, ha ha...but the qualifications are for the handler...and then the winner can compete in winners....you can always hire a handler for winners, I guess! Hi Guys Just for fun, I was wondering what some of my favorite people would have (dog breed) if Heaven Forbid, they couldn't have a GSD. Name as many as you like , and why. Might be interesting to see. As for myself, I already have the Caucasion Ovtcharka, who is one of the most interesting dogs I have ever known, and would have another (if Ken wouldn't KILL me) But I also LOVE Dobies, great dogs when you get a good one. Also Border Collies, athletic, great mind, beautiful, high energy. Love whippets, sweet little couch potatoes that run like the wind...problem is getting them back, lol.
