We all go thinking we have a chance of winning. Are you saying the judges only
judge the dogs and they never consider who is at the other end of the leash? If
so why do we need this class at all?
I "bother" to show because I believe I am having my breeding stock evaluated. I
believe entries are down because?to many?judges put up the other end of the
leash. It gets discouraging. No one wants to spend all the money it cost to
enter, pay for hotels, gas, food and time just to? have a judge not even look
at your dog. I don't want any more or any less consideration for my dog than
the next?dog, but I do want the same consideration.? And I do mean my dog.

The dog, ha ha...but the qualifications are for the handler...and then the
winner can compete in winners....you can always hire a handler for winners,

But I also LOVE Dobies, great dogs when you get a good one.
Also Border Collies, athletic, great mind, beautiful, high energy.
Love whippets, sweet little couch potatoes that run like the wind...problem
is getting them back, lol.

Whippets:? Yes, I love them.??The right size, very sweet and not too fragile.?
Plus, no shedding.
Yorkies:? Have had a Yorkie almost all my life.? Thanks Mom :-)??I like?Yorkies
cuz I could fit 10-15 of them in one GSD crate, LOL!? Too much work to show
though.??
Labs:? I bred and showed Labs for almost 20 yrs.? Don't like the current style
but if I wasn't showing, I would go back to Labs.? Field trial type.
Aussie:? I?would take an Aussie over a BC.? Only because they have similar
qualities of the GSD.? Loyalty and intelligence.? Border Collies are too
independant for me.? I'll just get another cat if I want that :-)

We have shown GSD's for years and most recently got a Cardigan. It is so
awesome. we have a corgi too but the cardi's are so much more sweet.
Nice way to transition into a smaller dog as one ages...LOL!

I like Black Russian Terriers. They're a relatively new, unspoiled breed.
Unfortunately they require too much grooming and i''m lazy. In the past i've
tried Shelties, Aussies,Corgies ,Boxers and Collies but GSDs are my only true
love when it comes to dogs..
