The issue is not whether the white GSD breeders has a small gene pool and so
needs to breed
to the GSDs. The fact that the color white has always been a forbidden color
or undesirable color in the GSD breed is the issue so why change it. It will
not
help the Standard AKC GSD to approve it in anyway. The washed out colors
in the GSD will return as the white is not a true color it masks any other
colour genes
This is the main reason the Standard was changed in the first place removing
the whites making it a DQ as breeders got tired of seeing a white pup pop up in
a litter.
