Seizures can be cause by a plethoria of problems, and nobody has mentioned two
of the leading
causes: low blood sugar and low calcium
Other causes include exposure to lead, chocolate, flea and tick sprays and
repellents, snail bait
And there is lymes disease, rocky moutnain spotted feve, liver problems, food
allergy
Then there many types of seizures:
1. Generalized (grand,petit mal and tonic)
2. partial and focal
3. Status
A seizure can be a problem itself or indicative of an underlying problem

All any breeder can do is try to inimize problems with available testing,
pedigree studying, etc
You still roll the dice, and sometimes it comes up snake eyes
