Those were the years that Sid Heckhart ran Santa Barbara KC. Being a GSD
person himself,we had huge entries,and huge rings. It was a benched show
under
huge block long tents and Sid always had the GSD judges come out to his
place
about three miles down the road. I was privileged to judge Santa Barbara a
number of times . They moved from their original spot on the ocean,several
times,but my best memory was the first one at the ocean spot with 200 GSDs
Barbara is right--top competition from all over Helen Miller Fisher
