I must be a newby because when my little pup Risky went Best Puppy at the
last couple of shows I was just thrilled with the Rosettes and prizes. I
hung all the ribbons so everyone could see. She also was awarded doggy toys
which we play with. with her allot.
Just me - the newby.

I guess you can tell that the people responding are dog show veterans --
don't you remember the feeling when you got your first dog show trophy?
Remember when colors other than purple were important?
We may not care about trophies or rosettes, but when you are a newbie it
is special. It is hard enough for newbies to win - now you want to take that
little symbol of victory away also??? Think about it.
